“To say that Italy is magnificent is a massive understatement. Florence is no exception, in fact it’s the King of Italy.” ~ Sleeping Angel

Location
The Grand Hotel Cavour is in the center of the Renaissance city of Florence. Just minutes from the Piazza di Duomo, Museo Nazionale del Bargello, Basilica di Santa Croce di Firenze, surrounded by restaurants, museums, and shops.

Hotel Description
The Grand Hotel Cavour is a beautiful medieval-style palace – so clean and cozy. It has a beautiful roof-top terrace, Divina Terrazza Rooftop Bar and Lounge, with great views. The perfect venue for a wedding or similar activity. Our room was comfortable with a large bathroom and so nicely decorated. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in while traveling abroad. The sheets looked, smelled and felt clean.
Breakfast
The hotel’s restaurant served breakfast which was a delicious feast of traditional meals to suit every palate. One of the things that surprised me the most was seeing bottles of wine open for breakfast!
Service
The check-in process went smoothly and quickly. The concierge and housekeepers were very attentive and accommodating.
Pros
This hotel has so many pros – the impeccably clean rooms and bathroom, the proximity to restaurants, shops, museums and such.
Cons
I was not impressed with the WiFi connection. The connection was so bad we never were able to get connected. Then again we really didn’t need it since we barely spent any time in the hotel other than to shower and sleep.
Price
As is the case in many hotels, prices vary depending on the season. However, the Grand Hotel Cavour’s prices range from 108€ for a classic room during the month of February.
Rating
We liked this hotel a lot, therefore we rated it a 5 out of 5.
