“All cities of the world are, more or less, similar to one another, Venice is unlike any other. ~ Carlo Goldoni

Hotel Rialto in Venice, Italy
Location
The Hotel Rialto is located in Venice, Italy just 1.06 miles (1.7 km) from the Santa Lucia train station. The Hotel Rialto offers hotel rooms, luxury apartments or guest house. It’s a prime location on the Grand Canal with many restaurants, gift shops, and entertainment outside its doors and just steps away from the Rialto Bridge. And, the vaporetto, the gondolas, and taxis landing are right in front of the hotel, which I liked a lot. You can’t beat that!

Hotel Description
It is an old 4-star hotel decorated in a classical 18th-century Venetian style – quite interesting. The hotel does have an elevator for easy access to the rooms which is great especially if you have foot problems like I did. Our room was on the 4th floor. It was a honeymoon and anniversary junior suite with balcony and views of the Grand Canal and Rialto bridge. The room was large, as well as the bathroom, and the bed was a queen size bed, yes! There was a bottle of iced Prosecco and goodies waiting for us in our room when we arrived (awesome!). Frankly, it’s the first time we stay in a hotel where the room looks exactly like the photos on their website.
Breakfast
Their breakfast buffet includes a varied mix of local foods, hot and cold, to choose from. There’s no shortage of coffee or juice either. It is more than just a continental breakfast. It is a full breakfast bar.
Service
They are staffed with a 24-hour reception, provide laundry service, babysitting service, money exchange, luggage, and concierge service. Their staff is also multilingual and they were polite.
Pros
All modes of transportation right in front of the hotel. Nice big room and big bathroom too.

Cons
The elevator is small. It was a bit noisy outside since it’s a prime location. Also, there was only one outlet to charge all our gadgets. I’m glad we have a multi-plug international adapter.
Features I Enjoyed the Most
I loved the view of the Grand Canal and the Rialto Bridge. I loved listening to the soft sound of the surf when a boat went by during the evening hours. I enjoyed the aroma of the ocean breeze and waking up with the merchants arriving and beginning their day in the wee hours of the morning. But we didn’t mind.
Price
You can find great deals depending on the season you book your trip. Hotel Rialto is a bit pricey but you can’t beat the location. In a honeymoon and anniversary junior suite prices range from the low 262€ to the high 291€ per person/per night.
Rating
Based on our experience, we rate the Hotel Rialto a 4 on a scale from 1 to 5. We would definitely stay at the Hotel Rialto again.
